Honeyberry Plants

Riverbend Orchards is proud to be a licensed propagator of six honeyberry (haskap) cultivars originating from the University of Saskatchewan.

Our 1 year-old haskap plants are propagated by collecting softwood cuttings from young vigorous bushes growing in our fields. Rooting of haskap cuttings is done under greenhouse mist in customized Ellepots followed by outdoor acclimation. By late summer each cutting is a high quality, finished plug ready for field-transplant or container growing.

To produce our 2 year-old plants we transplant and grow our haskap plugs for another full season in 1 gallon nursery containers. By late summer, these plants have 10x the root mass of an Ellepot and establish quickly in field plantings with zero transplant loss. Our container-grown haskap plants have received rave reviews from fruit producers and mail order companies across Canada and the United States.

Aurora,  Honey Bee, Tundra,  Boreal Blizzard,  Boreal Beauty,  Boreal Beast
